Indian Visa for Malaysia - Electronic Visa for Indian Nationals

The Malaysian government introduced a special online visa for Indian citizens in 2017 to facilitate visa applications and tourism for those wishing to visit Malaysia: Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the Electronic Travel Registration & Information Visa (Entry Visa) and the Electronic Visa (Malaysia eVisa).

If you have an Indian passport and want to visit Malaysia, we urge you to apply for a Malaysia Visa with us. However, before you do, please read the article below to discover all you need to know about the Malaysia Visa for Indian passport holders.

The Malaysia visa application process is simple and quick. In a few simple steps, travelers from 10 countries, including India, may get a Malaysian tourist visa.

Indian people with a valid passport must fill out the Malaysia visa application form, which includes answering a few easy questions and paying the requisite fee with a credit or debit card.

Please remember that iVisa.com offers single-entry and multiple-entrance visas to Indian citizens. If you need an entrance visa, you must contact your local embassy.

Diverse culture, wildlife, diving, colonial architecture, climbing, and tea plantations are among the top ten reasons to visit Malaysia. So what are you waiting for if you have an Indian passport? The Malaysia electronic visa system has made it much easier to enter the country, which is only a short flight away from the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea.

Visas and other requirements

WHAT IS THE MALAYSIA VISA FOR INDIAN CITIZENS?

The Malaysia eVisa was designed to make travel to Malaysia easier for qualifying citizens. The Malaysia Visa is valid for 90 days (3 months) from the date of issuance and allows Indian residents to stay in Malaysia for 30 days for each entry. Indian people may now apply for a Single Entry Malaysia Visa or a Numerous Entry Visa, allowing them to enter the country multiple times within 90 days.

To enter Malaysia, Indian citizens must get a tourist visa, often known as the Malaysia Tourist Visa. In addition, you must apply for separate access from the Malaysian Embassy or Government if you want to do business, work, or study in Malaysia. Those interested in establishing a Malaysian representative office can also contact the embassy.

For Indians, the application for this nonimmigrant Malaysia visa is entirely online. When a key is accepted, it is linked to the applicant's passport electronically.

DO I REQUIRE A REGISTRATION FORM UPON ARRIVAL?

This is similar to a Visa on Arrival. As an Indian entering Malaysia, you will only need an Arrival Registration if you pass through neighboring countries such as Thailand, Singapore, or Indonesia. Indian nationals cannot enter Malaysia and apply for a tourist visa. Indian citizens may only obtain a permit on arrival if they enter Malaysia through a third country, such as Thailand, Singapore, or Indonesia.

WHAT IS THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN A DEVICE AND A ENTRY?

Through electronic trip registration, Indian residents can apply for Malaysian tourist visas. However, the most significant difference is that the Malaysia entry visa is only available to Indian and Chinese citizens.

Visa entry

Malaysian entry visas are one of the various types of Malaysian tourist visas. Although many overseas nationals can enter Malaysia without a key, a few other countries must get an online travel document.

The eNTRI is solely available online, eliminating the need to visit a Malaysian embassy or government office for travel permission. The Malaysia entrance visa is only available to holders of Indian passports and People's Republic of China passports. If approved, the eNTRI permits the Indian bearer to enter Malaysia by a direct flight from India or through airports in Brunei, Singapore, or Thailand.

It should be noted that iVisa.com does not provide this visa approval service to Indian citizens.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR A VISA TO MALAYSIA?

Citizens of India and nine other countries can apply for a tourist visa to Malaysia. Additionally, tourists with valid passports from the following countries may use an eVisa:

Bhutan, Bangladesh, China, India, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Serbia, and Sri Lanka are represented.

To pay the appropriate fees, Indian applicants only need a valid passport and a credit or debit card. As a result, the majority of applications are approved quickly.

Other countries may apply for several visas to Malaysia at any Malaysian embassy or consulate. You may use our Visa Checker to determine your eligible visa types.

However, ALL TRAVELERS intending to visit Malaysia must get an Embassy registration, which we also supply. Learn more about this in the COVID requirements section below.

HOW LONG WILL THE MALAYSIA VISA BE VALID?

Malaysia visas are valid for 90 days after they are issued. Visitors may stay in the country for 30 days per entry.

You may visit the nation once or twice if your stay does not exceed 30 days, depending on whether you have a Many Entry or Single Entry Malaysia visa.

Overstaying your visa in Malaysia may result in fines or deportation.

MAY INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS EXTEND THEIR STAY IN MALAYSIA WITH A MALAYSIA VISA?

Indian nationals cannot get an extension for a multiple or single Malaysia online visa. In addition, overstaying a visa holder's permit to stay in Malaysia may result in a fine or a temporary travel restriction imposed by Malaysian authorities.

CAN INDIANS GET A VISA TO SRI LANKA ON ARRIVAL?

Indians are now unable to get a visa upon arrival in Malaysia. Before departing from India, Indians must get a Malaysia visa online.

DO INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS NEED A TRANSIT VISA TO TRAVEL THROUGH MALAYSIA?

You can get a Transit Pass (without a visa) if necessary.

Foreign people transiting through Malaysian airports who do not leave the airport grounds and continue their journey with the same airline are exempt from obtaining a transit visa.

However, as of July 2015, Indian people traveling to a third country via Malaysia may apply for a Transit Pass valid for no more than 120 hours (5 days). This permit may only be obtained at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).

Malaysian COVID restrictions

What are Malaysia's COVID-19 entry requirements?

COVID vaccine or immunization record

COVID vaccination passports or certificates are no longer required for entry into Malaysia. In addition, you will no longer be required to give a COVID test or observe a quarantine if you have a Covid vaccination certificate.

We urge that you check the most recent Malaysia travel alerts and call the embassy in your country because information can change quickly.

COVID assessment

  • COVID test before arrival: PCR within 48 hours for travelers who have not been immunized. Instead, Singaporeans can fly with a simple antigen test.
  • Children under 13 and fully vaccinated travelers are exempt from the COVID test.
  • COVID post-arrival test: RAT test within 24 hours of arrival for unvaccinated travelers.

Requirements for Quarantine

  • Quarantine period: 5 days for partially/unvaccinated tourists.
  • Quarantine exemptions include individuals under the age of 18 and those who have been fully inoculated.

HEALTH DECLARATION FOR MYSEJAHTERA TRAVELLER

All arriving visitors, whether foreign or Malaysian, must fill out a pre-departure Malaysia Health Declaration Form. It is a binding document that supports the local government in dealing with the current epidemic's threats. Its goal is to detect, track, and regulate sickness clusters among passengers to protect residents and tourists.

This documentation is available on our website two days before your trip. Connecting foreign and domestic planes is forbidden due to a medical emergency.

iVisa.com application

We make it easier for Indians to acquire a Sri Lanka visa. Learn about the three-step application process for a Malaysian tourist visa for Indians below.

HOW DO I APPLY?

As the first step, fill out the visa application form with your information. Next, double-check that it matches the news in your original passport and any associated papers. Again, any disparities will be rejected.

We ask that you double-check your visa information before proceeding to the payment platform. This is done to avoid delays in processing your application. You may pay the visa fee after ensuring the correct information.

In the third stage, upload all supporting documents and submit your application. Keep in mind that all scanned papers must be legible. We will call you and request additional images if your scanned reports are unclear or smeared.

Your Malaysia visa will be delivered to you in PDF format once it is ready. We recommend that visa applications be submitted at least two weeks before departure.

If you have difficulties completing your application, don't hesitate to contact our customer service staff. They are available through chat 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help you with your Malaysia Visa.

WHAT IS THE MALAYSIA E VISA FOR INDIANS LIKE?

As an electronic document sent by email in PDF format, it will look somewhat like this:

The Indian key, unlike other paper visas, is not a stamp or sticker on your passport. Instead, it will contain your personal information, the duration of the document, and the cause of your journey, just like any other access.

We recommend you print the Visa for Indians before departure and show it to Malaysian immigration authorities upon arrival.

WHAT ARE THE INDIAN CITIZENS' VISA FEES FOR MALAYSIA?

We usually provide three separate processing times to meet our client's needs. However, we only offer a processing time of 6 Business Days for the Malaysia visa. The cost of acquiring a Malaysian passport is USD 80. Pricing includes our services and government charges.

CAN I MODIFY MY E-VISA AFTER IT HAS BEEN ISSUED?

We cannot modify your Indian-Malaysia visa after it has been issued. However, we rigorously review each application before processing it to avoid mistakes.

Furthermore, if you uncover any errors in your visa application before your ETA is issued, please notify us immediately through chat or email at help@ivisa.com.

A visit to Malaysia

It would be best to visit the Malaysian Peninsula when planning a trip to Southeast Asia. You may visit the thriving, modern cities, colonial architecture, some of the world's most gorgeous beaches, and lush, verdant jungles in the same country.

Between February and September, immediately following the rainy season, less rain and an abundance of tropical foliage make March, April, May, and June drier, more pleasant, and less crowded.

The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the Menara in Kuala Lumpur, Mount Kinabalu for adventure seekers, and LEGOland Malaysia for family activities are among the top attractions.
